UWLX Week 2 Recap: Boston Storm Down Baltimore 13-9, Philadelphia Force Rallies Past Long Island Sound 14-12

BASKING RIDGE, N.J. — The Boston Storm used a strong first half to defeat the Baltimore Ride 13-9 on Saturday evening in the first of a United Women’s Lacrosse League double-header held at the Top Flight Lacrosse Tournament.

Led by goalkeeper Liz Hogan, who recorded 21 saves while allowing only nine goals, the Storm racked up a 7-3 halftime lead and then went back and forth with the Ride in the second half to secure the win. The victory gave Boston a 2-0 record on the year, while Baltimore fell to 0-2.

COLUMBIA, Md. — The Baltimore Ride battled back from an early three-goal deficit to defeat the Long Island Sound 12-9 on Wednesday evening to kick off week three of the United Women’s Lacrosse League’s third season.

The victory gave the Ride their first of the season, putting Baltimore’s record at 1-2 while the Sound fell to 0-3. The game was the first of a UWLX double-header held at Blandair Regional Park on the opening night of the STX Rising Girls Showcase.
